Ron Nagel on Steroids

For those of you interested in new talent (or who gets media attention), you might want to check out the NYTimes magazine on 15 New Creative Talents. There are two ceramic artists featured. One is Brian Rochefort, whose work I saw in Venice early in the summer. He makes ponderous, thickly glazed vessels that remind me of Peter Voulkos' Ice Buckets in form and Ron Nagel's surfaces on steroids. Yum. Check it out.
