Shechet’s wonderful re-thinking of the pedestal-- will be investigated. Finally, we will discuss the key role photography plays in documenting and extending the meaning of three-dimensional work. This lecture is packed with visual examples to show a variety of tactics that artists have employed to enhance the viewer’s encounter of their work.
